A quickie – DO MOAR PULLUPS

Just wanted to share Jason Ferruggia’s excellent article on how to improve your pullups. This is something I’ve wanted to work on for some time. Dropping weight alone has helped me. I went from not being able to do one overhand pullup to being able to do four right now. My favorite tips:

  1. Don’t go to failure
  2. Pull from your lats first
  3. Drive your elbows into the floor
  4. (BONUS FROM COMMENTS) Keep your head neutral

That last one’s a biggie for me, since I used to look up at the bar while I pulled, and always wondered why my neck was sore afterward. In fact, I stopped doing them for awhile when I actually did pinch or something to my neck…sore for a week or so! Anyway, check out his tips below, and good luck!!!
